Scout sections are age based. Youth can start in Scouting once they are 5 years of age and have attended at least one term of Primary School (Prep / Foundation).

There is a six month transition period between each section where youth can both link to the next section and then transition permanently.
Narre Warren Scouts offers the following Scout sections. Note that Scouts only runs during school term:
- Cubs (Pawsey) Tuesday 7:00 to 8:30pm
- Scouts Wednesday 7:00 to 9:00pm
- Joeys Thursday 6:00 to 7:00pm
- Cubs (Sweeney) Friday 7:00 to 8:30pm
